The Greater Meriden Chamber of Commerce


An independent, private non-profit membership organization. Volunteers from over 500 member businesses work to improve the economic and civic vitality of the Meriden community.

The Meriden Economic Development Corporation (MEDCO)


MEDCO is a non-profit organization that works independently and in local partnerships to stimulate economic development in the city.

The Meriden Business & Learning Center (MBLC)


MBLC is a not-for-profit facility organized to meet the training needs of employers in the Meriden area by coordinating existing training resources, assisting employers with available state and federal funding and introducing new services as identified by area employers.

Central Connecticut Alliance for Economic Development (CCAED)


The members of the Alliance include the contiguous towns of Berlin, Cheshire, Meriden, Southington and Wallingford. The CCAED symbolizes a shared commitment toward regional economic development, balancing well-planned economic growth with the area’s high quality of life. To foster business development, the Alliance, as well as any individual member town, will quickly assemble the professional team needed to expedite a particular project, offer free technical guidance, determine project viability and assist with local incentive programs.

Connecticut Tourism


Provides Connecticut residents and visitors with up to the minute event listings throughout the State. Connecticut has five Tourism Regions.  Meriden is in the Hartford Regional Tourism District.

Regional Growth Partnership


The REGIONAL GROWTH PARTNERSHIP (RGP) is a non-profit regional economic development organization serving South Central Connecticut. Created in 1996, the RGP was formed as the economic development entity for the fifteen towns served by the South Central Regional Council of Government (SCRCOG). For over ten years RGP has been serving the economic development needs of the area’s fifteen municipalities. RGP’s primary mission is to encourage cohesiveness between the public and private sectors in the development of policies and programs designed to make the South Central Connecticut region more competitive in the global economy.
