This Bohemia, NY-based supplier of educational materials and services, recently signed a long-term lease and moved into 26,000 sf of
manufacturing/warehouse space at the Meriden Enterprise Center, located at 290 Pratt St. The company relocated its publishing, manufacturing and distribution

The company will create 15 new jobs. Visit the Schoolwide, Inc. site.
Jess Cohen, president of
Schoolwide, Inc., was quoted in a recent article in the Connecticut Real Estate Journal, stating “Schoolwide, Inc. is very excited about relocating to 290
Pratt St. We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with the ownership and are especially appreciative to the City of Meriden's Economic
Development Office for its professionalism and cooperation, and for making us feel welcome. We look forward to joining and making a positive impact on the
Meriden community."
The City’s Economic Development Office and Peter Shiue of Colliers International have worked together for years making deals
happen. Peter Shiue, CCIM, senior broker of Colliers International's New Haven office, was the sole broker involved in the transaction. Click for more information on Meriden incentives.

City Receives $2 Million to Jump Start Downtown Revitalization
Meriden recently received a $2 million state bond commitment for flood control infrastructure work required by the City’s downtown
Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Project. The flood control work is a prerequisite to downtown development. The money will uncover parts of Harbor Brook,
a stream that runs underneath downtown Meriden, and create storage areas needed to staunch flooding. "The $2 million will allow the City to move our
downtown TOD project from the drawing board to the real world," City Manager Lawrence Kendzior said.
