The Meriden Green — The downtown Meriden Green is a repurposed brownfield site.

The City of Meriden is engaged in a long-term effort to assess and clean up brownfields sites in our community. Our goal is to clean up and reuse brownfield sites for new economic development, open space, or flood control purposes.

Additional information is available on specific sites in the community, including prior environmental assessments, cleanup activities, and site reuse and redevelopment.
