The City of Meriden is engaged in a long-term effort to assess and clean up brownfields sites in our community. Our goal is to clean up and reuse brownfield sites for new economic development, open space or flood control purposes. The Blight and Brownfield Committee meets quarterly to discuss and review progress on blighted properties and brownfield assessment and cleanup. If you are interested in participating in the Blight and Brownfield committee, please contact the Office of Economic Development. The next Blight & Brownfields meeting is December 14, 2017, 12-1PM at City Hall.
